The forge
Born at the Anvil
GRIMFJORD began in a converted boat shed on a hard Norwegian coast, with one anvil, one hammer and a fire fed by birch. Our founder had mended ship iron for twenty years before he cut his first band from a bar of 925 silver. The first rings were for the men he worked beside. They sold off his own wrist.
Nothing about that method has changed. Every piece is still heated, struck and quenched by hand, then left dark where the fire left it dark. We stamp each one 925 and we mean it. If you want mirror shine, there are plenty of shops for that. This is the forge.

Is the silver real 925 sterling?
Yes. Every ring, chain and cuff is solid 925 sterling silver, stamped on the clasp or inner band. We do not plate and we do not use steel cores. The dark finish is real oxidation, not paint — it is how silver ages in the north.
How long does shipping take?
Each piece is finished at the forge before it ships. Orders leave the workshop in 1-2 business days and reach US addresses in 6-10 days. You get a tracking number by email the moment the parcel moves.
What is your return policy?
30 days, no drama. If a piece does not sit right, send it back unworn for a full refund or exchange. We pay return shipping on defects; you cover change-of-mind returns.
How do I find my ring size?
Wrap a strip of paper snug around your finger, mark the overlap and measure it in millimeters, then divide by 3.14 for the inner diameter. Our bands run sizes 8-12. When in doubt, size up — a forge band should never bite.
Does it come in a gift box?
Every order ships in a matte black box with the GRIMFJORD mark, ready to hand over as it is. Sets arrive with both pieces seated in one box. No ribbons — just black and silver.
How do I care for oxidized silver?
Leave the dark patina alone — it is the point. Wipe the piece with a dry cloth after wear and keep it off cologne, chlorine and salt water. If a highlight gets too bright, let it darken again; silver always finds its way back.
